We teach regularly scheduled accessible dance classes in Dallas, TX and Atlanta, GA, which focus on foundational partner dance technique, musicality and body awareness.
Classes are led by We Can Dance (WCD) instructors—both blind and sighted—using an inclusive dance methodology developed by Samy Vez. This multi-sensory approach incorporates tactile, auditory, verbal, and kinesthetic techniques. To fully engage in the experience, sighted participants are encouraged to wear blindfolds.

We have been offering quarterly 'Dance in the Dark' Socials in Dallas, Texas in partnership with Envision, Dallas since 2023, and in Atlanta, Georgia in partnership with Georgia Library Services for the Blind and Print Disabled since 2025.
Dance in the Dark socials are opportunities for sighted and BVI communities to come together to socialize and connect through partner dance. These are offered in safe and familiar surroundings for the BVI community to encourage participation. We invite seasoned and beginner sighted dancers to join, offering blindfolds to equalize the experience. The goal is to foster inclusion, connection and joy through shared movement.
All socials start with an hour long partner dance class led by WCD instructors, followed by refreshments and social dancing to hits by local DJ's.

The Dance Buddy Program was created to strengthen social connections between the BVI and the sighted dance communities and to provide ongoing learning opportunities between our quarterly socials and our inclusive dance series.
We are launching a two-month pilot program in Dallas, TX in May 2025! WCD will facilitate 1-to-1 matches between proficient sighted dancers and BVI community members who are interested in learning partner dance.
Dance Buddies will participate in a weekly community partner dance class together of their choice: Kizomba or Bachata. Sighted Buddies will receive basic training on how to guide and facilitate the experience for their BVI buddy. To practice what they have learned Buddies will go to one community dance social together per month. The pilot will culminate into an opportunity for the BVI buddy to travel to Austin, TX for the NeoKiz Kizomba festival in July.
